The Wellington Firebirds squad to play the Northern Knights in round eight of the Plunket Shield at the Hawkins Basin Reserve from Friday 9 – Monday 12 March is:

Jesse Ryder (Naenae Old Boys)

There are three additions to the Wellington Firebirds squad for this match, with returning BLACKCAPS James Franklin, Andy McKay and Jesse Ryder joining the group.

Fast bowler Andrew Lamb and all-rounder Luke Woodcock drop out for this game. Woodcock is unavailable owing to his attendance at a wedding during the match.

The playing XI will be finalised on Friday morning.
