McIntosh in for Aces Final Outing

Wednesday, 22 March 2012

The Aces have made just the one change to their line-up for the final round of the Plunket Shield bringing back opener Tim McIntosh for the match against the Wizards.

McIntosh replaces fellow opener Brad Cachopa in the 12 named to face Canterbury on Monday in a game where the Aces will be looking to get an outright and as many bonus points as possible to put whatever pressure they can on leaders Northern.

Coach Paul Strang admits that it's a tough ask to make up 15 points in one round but says his team won't be giving anything away.

"The weather obviously did us no favours against the Knights but we have to move on and just do our utmost against the Wizards and see what happens. We'd prefer to have our destiny in our hands but it just means that we will put everything into it to gain maximum points and see where that gets us."
The twelve to take on the Canterbury Wizards from Monday is as follows:

Gareth Hopkins (c) (Parnell)
Dean Bartlett (Ellerslie)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Mitchell McClenaghan (Howick Pakuranga)
Tim McIntosh (Parnell)
Bruce Martin (Parnell)
Colin Munro (Howick Pakuranga)
Neal Parlane (East Coast Bays)
Jeet Raval (Suburbs New Lynn)
Bhupinder Singh (Papatoetoe)
