Powerball Player's Bank Balance Hits The Big Time
A Te
Kauwhata Lotto Powerball player’s bank balance has hit the
big time after winning a $26 million prize on tonight’s
Lotto draw, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Wayne
Pickup.
“The Powerball jackpot has been growing every week since it was last won by a player in Orewa, on New Year’s Eve 2011,” says Mr Pickup.
“This is the third largest lottery prize won by a single ticket in NZ Lotteries’ history.”
This week’s winning Lotto Powerball ticket was sold at Te Kauwhata Foodmarket in Te Kauwhata. Their prize is made up of $333,333 from Lotto First Division, and $26,264,932 million from Powerball First Division.
There were two other Lotto winners tonight, also winning a $333,333 share of Lotto First Division. The tickets were sold at MyLotto in Auckland and Pak’n’Save Hastings in Hastings.
Strike Four was struck, with a lucky winner from New Plymouth winning $1,035,186. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Pak’n’Save New Plymouth.
Meanwhile, Kendyl and James from Pukekohe, spun Lotto’s Winning Wheel and won $200,000 at the live draw in the capital this evening.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was bought at Countdown Greymouth in Greymouth. The serial number is 406-08713539-20XX.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet.
