Gig to Celebrate Local Art and Music Collaborations

Gig to Celebrate Local Art and Music Collaborations

Music was played, art was made – and Beck’s beers became a masterpiece.

Earlier this year, Beck’s brought together local artists and local musicians to design a series of limited edition labels for all Beck’s bottles. Artists Rainbow Monkey, Andrew McLeod and Gavin Hurley took inspiration from songs by musicians Cut Off Your Hands, Ghost Wave and Parallel Dance Ensemble to create labelsthat are, literally, a work of art.

To celebrate and signify the end of the limited edition label campaign, two wrap parties in Auckland and Wellington will bring together artists, musicians – and lovers of both – to enjoy live music and Beck’s beer!

At the Auckland event collaborating musicians Cut Off Your Hands and Ghost Wave will be performing, with DJ sets from DJ Hudge and DJ Andrew Tidball.

Olivia Lacey will lead the charge in Wellington, where Parallel Dance Ensemble, Knock Knock, B-Lo and Nat Walker will keep people moving.

Tickets to the events can be won on bfm in Auckland, Radio Active in Wellington or on the Beck’s Facebook page and will include an ice cold Beck’s on arrival for each ticket holder.
