Mark Lanegan Band Supported by 1995

Auckland based 5 piece band 1995 has been announced as the opener for the much anticipated Mark Lanegan Band concert at the Powerstation next week.

1995 are well known for their alternative radio hits A Red Forest, Polar Rapid, Gettin Brainz, Foreign Soil , Love Your Ghost and latest single Nowhere Slow. The band is currently working on their debut album with notable producer Nick Roughan

With the addition of a new band member (Geordie McCallum), this will be a well awaited and promising international support show for 1995.

Mark Lanegan last graced out stage in 2009 when he played a mesmerizing and gritty set at the Kings Arms Tavern in 2009. Next weeks performance is his first in New Zealand with a full band and will include songs from his entire career including tracks off his excellent recent album Blues Funeral.

Mark Lanegan Band and 1995 will set the Powerstation’s stage alight next Wednesday night - it’s a must-see concert.
