Registrations Open to Find Talented Young Kiwis

The call is out for talented young New Zealanders to show the rest of the country their singing, dancing and musical talents, in a bid to become the star of Westfield’s 5 Minutes of Fame 2012.

As well as the chance to be sky-rocketed to stardom, contestants are in to win a share of up to $20,000 worth of prizes, with the supreme winner taking home a $2,000 tuition grant.

Interested youngsters can register to be part of this year’s competition by heading online to www.westfield.co.nz. Entries are open to Kiwi kids aged 8-16 with heats taking place during the July school holidays.

“We’re looking forward to helping young Kiwis transport their talents from the family lounge or the school stage to a national audience!” says Linda Trainer, General Manager Westfield Shopping Centre Management and Marketing. “We’re excited to be bringing back 5 Minutes of Fame in 2012 and can’t wait to see what young talent we discover.”

Again, the general public will be able to view 8 finalist videos on the Westfield website and cast their vote for their favourite performer. The person obtaining the most votes will be named the 5 Minutes of Fame supreme winner.

This year’s contestants are in to win a share of up to $20,000 worth of prizes including Westfield gift cards.

Registrations close on Friday 8th June 2012.
