8 May 2012 - Macquarie Private Wealth New Zealand has signalled its commitment to the New Zealand market today through the announcement of a major sponsorship agreement with the Arts Foundation.

The Awards are an annual event where more than $350,000 will be donated to high performing artists across multiple disciplines.

Macquarie Private Wealth New Zealand’s investment is also enabling the Arts Foundation to launch a crowdfunding website, which the Foundation says has the potential to generate $3 million in new funding for the arts each year.

“We are pleased to invest in New Zealand's finest artists through the Macquarie Private Wealth New Zealand Arts Awards and to support the Arts Foundation to assist grassroots projects through their new crowdfunding website www.boosted.org.nz," says Ian Witters, Head of Macquarie Private Wealth New Zealand.
