Treat Your Mum – Mums Go Free at Carter this Sunday!

Is your mother a superstar? Give your Mum an out of this world Mother’s Day this year at Carter Observatory. On Sunday 13 May, Mums get in free of charge with one paying person.

Carter Observatory will be open from 10am until 5:30pm. The day begins with a special screening of Tycho to the Moon for our youngest visitors at 10:15am, followed by shows in the Pelorus Trust Planetarium every hour from 11am.

Our multimedia exhibition is open all day, so if your Mum would love to touch a piece of Moon rock, get her hands on some meteorites, or feel the rumble of a rocket launch, then Carter is the place for her!

Carter Observatory is easy to get to. Enjoy a 2-minute stroll through the Botanic Gardens from the top of the Cable Car, or grab a car park at the Skyline, Upland Road, Kelburn.

Entry prices are $18.50 Adult / $13.50 Concessions / $8 Children (4-16). Free for Mums, under 4s and Star Pass holders.
