Leaders sought for city's new Arts Forum
23 May 2012
Hamilton City Council is looking for people to guide the development of arts in the city.
With a new Arts Agenda adopted to foster and grow Hamilton’s arts sector, from today Council is seeking expressions of interest for roles leading the new Arts Forum.
People interested in being part of the arts community’s new leadership group should have experience in the sector, a range of skills, and be committed to its enhancement across the city.
Cr Daphne Bell, Chair Hamilton City Council’s Creative Communities Working Group, says: “There is a lot happening in the city’s arts sector at present, so we need enthusiastic and motivated people to drive the Arts Agenda.”
“This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in Hamilton.”
The Arts Forum will consist of community leaders selected from those who have expressed an interest in this role, as well as representatives from arts organisations and from Council.
For more information on the Arts Forum please download the draft Terms of Reference and a copy of the Arts Agenda from this page. If you are interested, please submit your Expression of Interest and CV to Hamilton City Council by 4pm Friday 15 June.
