Society of Beer Advocates Annual Winter Ale Festival 14 July
SOBA Annual Winter Ale Festival at Matariki – 14th July
Knockout festival planned
The Society of Beer Advocates’ annual Winter Ale Festival at Matariki looks like being a knockout event this year.
Fifteen New Zealand, Norwegian and Danish breweries have agreed to produce one-off, special beers for our festival. Every other beer from the twenty three breweries represented will be a rarity, new or unusual beer meaning that most attendees will be in for a treat.
As with past years, the festival will be held at The Boatshed in Wellington and numbers will be strictly limited to 300-350.
To complement the great beers on offer, the chefs from Wellington’s The Hop Garden will be serving up some tasty food.
As before, the tickets are on sale from the SOBA website and will go really quickly. Each $40 dollar ticket entitles the entrant to 5 half pints and a helping of food. Doors open 2pm – 8pm.
SOBA was formed in 2006 in order to increase awareness of and appreciation for flavourful crafted beers.
