Overage Mutant Ninja Turtles Announce Fundraising Show

Overage Mutant Ninja Turtles Announce Fundraising Show for Variety

Ewen ‘The Westie’ Gilmour and his Overage Mutant Ninja Turtle sidekick Ed are taking their fundraising efforts to the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club, hosting a comedy spectacular on Saturday September 1.

In addition to Ewen, two other comedians will entertain the crowd, promising a night of fun and frivolity.

“There will be lucky door prizes, plus a number of money-can’t-buy experiences and raffles throughout the evening,” said Ewen. “These include Thundercat rides at Port Waikato, products from local businesses and an exclusive barbeque cooked by myself and the team at the winning bidder’s house.”

Variety – The Children’s Charity has been in New Zealand for over 20 years, and in that time has distributed over $13 million dollars worth of grants to sick, disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the country.

“Every dollar raised at the event will go to Variety – The Children’s Charity to support Kiwi kids,” said Ewen, who himself is an official Variety Ambassador.

“Kiwis have always been particularly generous and we hope to raise enough to purchase an insulin pump for a youngster, enabling them to have their treatment in their house rather than travelling to a hospital. This will mean a better quality of life for them and their family.”

Tickets are $30 each and, based on the last time Ewen appeared at the Club, the show is expected to sell out.
