NZ Music Foundation Gives Fan ‘Golden Ticket’ To Any Kiwi Music Show for a Year
NZ Music Foundation Trustees Campbell Smith and Don McGlashan have presented one lucky Kiwi music fan with the ultimate prize – a ‘golden ticket’ ensuring access to any public concert or festival being held in New Zealand for an entire year.
Winner Joseph Wright comments, “Honestly, I couldn’t believe it. I never win things and I really thought it was a prank. It wasn’t. It only really sunk in when I started writing the list of all the acts that I wanted to see, starting with the Lady Gaga gig, which was awesome.”
Campbell Smith says, “I’d like to congratulate Joseph and to thank him and the many others who entered the golden ticket competition for showing their support for the NZ Music Foundation. I hope Joseph enjoys his incredible prize of a year of live music – he’s going to get to see some amazing concerts over the next 12 months.”
The NZ Music Foundation developed the competition to drive awareness about its goals to provide financial support to projects that help enrich the lives of New Zealanders in need through music; and to provide emergency financial assistance to members of the New Zealand music community who are in need, or suffering hardship, illness or distress.
