$1 reserve on Trade Me for tickets to one of the most exclusive dining events of the year!
New Zealanders have the chance
to win two tickets to one of the most exclusive charity –
and culinary - events of the year, the cbm Blind Dining
Experience at Wellington’s iconic restaurant Shed
5.
Two tickets to the event, worth $125 each, have been put up for sale on online auction site Trade Me with a reserve of just $1.
cbm is an international aid organisation dedicated to working with and raising awareness of persons living with disabilities in the world’s poorest countries.
On Friday 13 July, 40 lucky diners will experience a unique menu that is designed to leave the taste buds in awe. Diners will be blindfolded on entry before sitting down to a sumptuous four course meal with matching wines.
Head chef Geoff Ngan and his skilled team will work to deliver the special meal in an effort to raise funds for cbm.
Darren Ward, cbm National Director, says: “Being without sight for the evening will give people a unique perspective on what it is like to live with a life-altering disability.”
The winner of the Trade Me auction will also be given a personal tour of the Shed 5 kitchen by Chef Ngan, as well as taking home a gourmet hamper worth over $200 containing delicious delicacies such as Spanish figs, smoked sweet paprika, rosewater, Pukara balsamic and raspberry vinegar and more.
Chef Ngan says: “I am honoured to be able to support cbm and bring awareness to their work such as their Child Sponsorship programmes. It’s a fantastic charity and I know Wellington will get behind this worthwhile and exciting event. ”
Mr Ward says: “cbm is immensely grateful to Chef Ngan and the team at Shed 5 for donating their time and energy into raising awareness for cbm’s work and hopes the Trade Me auction will help raise more public awareness and funds for the charity that will go on to help multiple disability projects overseas.”
Tickets to the event are priced at $125.00 per person, with $50 going to the charity.
Te Hana, Wither Hills and Corbans vineyards will be donating all the wine for the event.
Tickets for the blind dining event at Shed 5 can be purchased at www.blind-dining.co.nz or see the ticket auction on the Trade Me website www.trademe.co.nz. The Trade Me auction will close at 10.30am on Sunday July 8.
