New Silver Ferns Match Kit Revealed

It is a new season and a fresh new look for the Silver Ferns as they depart today for Melbourne for the first leg of the Constellation Cup in their new kit from Canterbury of New Zealand.

The Silver Ferns will play three games against the Australian Diamonds, followed by the New World Quad Series with Australia, England and South Africa, and finally a series of Fast5, the first season they’ve worn Canterbury since 2005.

Canterbury has signed a three year deal to provide all on-court, off-court, training and compression gear, with new technology to aid player performance and recovery.

Netball New Zealand Chief Executive Raelene Castle says that the team is delighted with the new apparel.

“The players have been utlising the gear in training and are very pleased with both its performance and style.

“They’re excited to be putting on the coveted black dress with the three-Kiwi Canterbury logo and to face the challenge on the international stage,” she said.

Canterbury has gone deep into its box of tricks to find new technology to support the players. The new dress in particular features superior natural and manmade fibres, including Merino wool. Chamois side panels help to keep player’s hands dry and assist grip. And Canterbury’s state-of-the art compression gear aids in recovery after training and the game.

And for those who want to show their support, Canterbury has also developed a collection of supporter apparel, including polos, t-shirts, hoodies and track-pants all with distinctive Silver Ferns graphics – available from Rebel Sport, Canterbury of New Zealand stores nationwide, at the game and online.

Canterbury of New Zealand CEO, Ross Munro is likewise pleased to win back the Ferns and to have the Canterbury logo back on the national side.

“After an absence of seven years, we’re thrilled to be putting the iconic Kiwi brand back on the Ferns,” said Munro.

“We believe we have the design and the technology to give the team the edge when it counts,” he said.
