Kiwis Train-On Squad - 4th Announcement
Kiwis Train-On Squad - 4th Announcement
Auckland, September 26 2012 - Following the NRL semi-finals in the weekend, two backs from Manly, plus the South Sydney hooker Issac Luke, have today been added to the Kiwis train-on squad to prepare for the October 13 Test match against the Kangaroos at Dairy Farmers Stadium in Townsville.
The Manly pair is Kieran Foran and Dean Whare. Foran missed the VB Test in April through injury and will look to add to his seven Tests. Whare, who was born in Rotorua, is looking for a Test debut. He is a former Junior Kiwi who has played centre, wing and fullback this season.
A number of potential Kiwis feature in the NRL Grand Final between the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs and the Melbourne Storm this Sunday. The national selectors - Richie Barnett, Tony Iro, Stephen Kearney and Tawera Nikau - will name their 19-man Kiwis squad on Tuesday, October 2.
