Villainy Release Debut Album Mode. Set. Clear

VILLAINY RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM
MODE. SET. CLEAR.

Villainy's debut album - 'Mode. Set. Clear.' – is set for release on October 19th through Villain Music / Universal Music NZ.

The result of a two-year partnership with Melbourne-based producer Tom Larkin (Shihad), the much-anticipated record follows the success of two massive rock radio hits 'Alligator Skin' and 'The Answer', as well as a series of high-profile international support slots.

‘Mode. Set. Clear.’ comes packed with the ferocious and energetic sound well established by the lead singles. The five minute long title track soars and climbs to a crushing finale while ‘Money Mouth’ pulls no punches in its hard and fast approach. Elsewhere, new territory is explored, most aptly in the dark acoustic stomp of 'Paradise Lost' and the expansive soundscape of centerpiece 'More Than You Can Do'.

Make no mistake, this is a rock album, but one that displays a sonic diversity rarely witnessed in the New Zealand music.

To complete the package, the band enlisted legendary designer Storm Thorgerson. As the name behind the covers for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Muse (to name but a very few) and working with a New Zealand artist for the first time in his 45 year career Villainy jumped at this opportunity and the result is classic Storm - surreal, thought provoking and undeniably captivating.
