Eat Like A Genius for 30 Days - Go Veg

Eat Like A Genius for 30 Days

Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln and Vincent Van Gogh - what did these outstanding minds have in common? They all chose not to have any meat on their plates.

They lived as vegetarians, a lifestyle choice on the rise as a preferred way of living. Joining this list is Bill Clinton, Orlando Bloom, Christian Bale, Claudia Schiffer, Mike Tyson, Samuel L Jackson, Ellen Degeneres, Stella McCartney and Anne Hathaway.

Our New Zealand list includes Anna Paquin, Gin Wigmore, Samantha Hayes, Denise L’Estrange-Corbet, NZ artist Askew One and 95bFM’s Richie Hardcore. They’re making part of a growing group of actors, musicians, artists and sports people switching over and opting for a healthy vegetarian lifestyle.

“There are no challenges to being a veggie, only huge benefits to your health and wellbeing” Denise L’Estrange-Corbet, co-founder of fashion brand WORLD.

Going vegetarian is a great step; some people decide to do overnight, while others find it easier to do it gradually. Now more New Zealanders can take the step and give it a go with SAFE’s new Go Veg campaign, launching nationwide on November 1st.

A full website has been dedicated to guide Kiwis through this journey at www.goveg.org.nz, and specially designed starter packs will be available for all those that pledge to Go Veg for 30 days. The packs are filled with delicious recipes, helpful tips and informative ways to live a healthy and compassionate lifestyle.

The Go Veg campaign will also be taking to the streets to celebrate international Hug A Vegetarian Day tomorrow.

Vegetarian actors, musicians, politicians and some colourful, cuddly human-sized animals will be combining forces with SAFE offering fresh hugs for everyone.

Hug A Vegetarian – Friday 28th September

Wellington: 12pm-1pm, corner of Stout and Lambton Quay.
Auckland: 12-1pm, corner of Durham Lane East and Queen Street.

Register today to get your Go Veg starter kit and be ready in time for November 1st when it all kicks off. www.goveg.org.nz
