Updated Kiwis Media Schedule

PRESS RELEASE

Updated Kiwis Media Schedule

Cairns, Australia, October 9, 2012 – The Kiwis were back at Stan Williams Park on Tuesday, along with a big crowd of kids who came to watch them train. There were plenty of good kids too (and I’m not just saying that). One of the schools, Balaclava State, had rewarded students whose attendance was above 90% with the treat of watching the Kiwis. Our boys made sure everyone returned home with autographs and it wasn’t a surprise when Benji Marshall was last back on the bus.

Training went well in increasingly warm conditions. The boys are back for a final Cairn’s hit-out at 9.45am on Wednesday.

At the ground, Frank Pritchard had his session with the media gate-crashed by a beard-pulling Sam Kasiano. It was probably an act of jealously, as while Kasiano has made great on-field strides this season, he is still clearly second fiddle to Pritchard in facial hair.

The Kiwis had a weights session after lunch and then a few lucky players with family around were able to be joined by them for dinner.

The Kiwis fly to Townsville after lunch on Wednesday with a quick turnaround from training, to lunch, to the airport.

Squad members on rotation on Wednesday are Josh Hoffman and Stephen Kearney (both of whom will talk at the Cairns training session only) and then Jesse Bromwich and Tony Iro (who will handle things on behalf of the team at Townsville Airport).
