Artrageous lights up Whanganui

Artrageous lights up Whanganui

Wherever you are in Whanganui during November you will be near Artrageous.

The annual arts festival showcasing the creativity of Whanganui UCOL’s art, design and fashion students will be held in several venues across UCOL’s two inner-city campuses.

This year, Artrageous includes no fewer than 13 exhibitions and events, on and around the main Rutland Street campus, and Quay School of the Arts (QSA) on Wicksteed Street.

The three week festival features work by students studying, and graduating from, creative programmes at Whanganui UCOL, including the Quay School of the Arts, the School of Fashion and the School of Design.

The exhibitions feature fine arts, glass, computer graphic design and a spectacular graduation fashion show at the Jubilee Stadium.

Artrageous events are open for public viewing from the following dates:

The Glorious Wallpaper Show: First Year Bachelor of Fine Arts painters will show their work at the Edith Gallery from 31 October.

QSA Video: The Edith Gallery will also be the venue for the Video students’ exhibition from 31 October.
