The Spirit of Adventure Trust
was established in 1972 to provide the youth of New Zealand
access to a character development programme through sail
training. Since then, they have taken thousands of young New
Zealanders to sea on a voyage of personal discovery.
Although described as a Sail Training Organisation, the
focus of learning for these young people taking part on a
Voyage is on personal skills such as leadership, teamwork
and
communication.
