Revisiting Conversations: ACT One
Revisiting Conversations: ACT One
Triangle Television, which will become "Face Television" on Feb 1, will re-broadcast episodes from the 2012 season of Triangle Television's "In Conversation with Noel Cheer" until February 27. The Conversations demonstrate the value to be found in gently inquisitive discussions, in contrast to the more inquisitorial style.
This week's returning guest is Sir Roger Douglas, co-founder of the political party ACT New Zealand.
If we were to memorialise the Prime Ministers who most significantly shaped the recent history of our country then we would have to include Robert Muldoon, David Lange and Helen Clark.
But there is a fourth person, who thought not a Prime Minister, linked those other three people and utterly changed the way that we do business and legislate.
Sir Roger says that, without his reforms, today New Zealand would be a third world country.
In Conversation with Noel Cheer, Triangle Television, Wednesday 30th of January at 7:00pm, repeated on Thursday 31st of January at 12 noon.
Triangle Television, the home of public broadcasting, can be received in the Auckland region on UHF Channels 41, 42 and 52.
From Friday, half way through this "repeats season", Triangle Television will be re-branded as "Face Television" and will become available also on Sky Channel 089. Face Television will then continue to broadcast on UHF in Auckland until later in the year when the analogue service will be withdrawn. Further details will be provided as they become available.
In Conversation with Noel Cheer receives funding from New Zealand on Air. This has enabled us to introduce viewers to over 240 New Zealanders on Air and visitors to New Zealand during nearly 6 years of unbroken weekly broadcasting.
