The Auckland Aces have kept the
winning formula the same for their fifth round Ford Trophy
clash with the Wellington Firebirds by naming an unchanged
squad of 12.
The Aces sit second on the table and a win in tomorrow's game would put the pressure on leaders the Northern Knights who don't play until Sunday.
Both Auckland and Wellington come into tomorrow's game with plenty of runs under their belt after a fourth round of action that saw some massive scores. Auckland put 356 on the board against Canterbury and Wellington racked up 309 in only 39 overs against Otago.
The Aces added another two century makers to their Ford Trophy list in the last game to make it five in just four games and coach Matt Horne is glad that his players are making the most of their opportunities.
"It's been great to watch and really pleasing from a coaching and playing perspective that we've been cashing in with the bat when we've had the chance. I also thought we stuck to the task really well in the field against Canterbury."
The 12 from which a team will be named for tomorrow's game is as follows:
Gareth Hopkins
(Captain) (Parnell)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New
Lynn)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme
(Howick Pakuranga)
Donovan Grobbelaar (Howick Pakuranga)
Dusan Hakaraia (Grafton United)
Anaru Kitchen
(Waitakere City)
