Plan your travel to the Auckland Blues game
Auckland Transport encourages rugby fans to plan their travel early for the Auckland Blues match at Eden Park on Saturday night.
Travel by special event trains and buses is included with a match ticket to all Super Rugby games at Eden Park. Passengers are advised to keep their match ticket for the return journey. The travel period starts three hours before kick-off at 7.35pm.
Go to www.at.co.nz or phone 09 3666 400 to plan your journey. Details will also be available at all rail and bus stations.
Travel to the rugby by train
All train services will arrive and depart from Kingsland Station either for Britomart or all stations along the Western Line. Passengers from the south are advised to change at either Newmarket or Britomart for a train to Kingsland Station.
We advise customers to check for the last train service departing for the game when they plan their travel.
Travel to the rugby by bus
Special event buses to Eden Park will run approximately every 15 minutes from the Albany bus station along the Northern Busway from 5.30pm and from Newmarket and Mt Eden approximately every 15 minutes from 5.30pm too. Special event buses will also run from Takapuna, Manukau Pakuranga and Botany.
Rugby fans from Pukekohe can take a direct bus service to Eden Park. Buses depart from Pukekohe Rail Siding (follow the V8 Supercar Fan Trail to the end) at the set times of 5.30pm. 5.45pm and 6pm. The services will be provided by Murphy Buses and will have Eden Park signage clearly displayed.
Please note there will not be any direct buses back to Pukekohe after the event. Instead passengers are invited to use either the train or special event bus services. Passengers staying in Pukekohe are advised to change at Newmarket or Britomart for a Southern Line train.
Walk or cycle to the rugby
Eden Park is only 4km from the city centre and cycle racks can be found around the stadium. Due to the large number of people travelling by train we advise cyclists not to take their bike on the train.
Drive to the rugby
Some roads around Eden Park will be closed or have restricted access. Only residents and their visitors will be able to access and park in certain streets, so drivers should check they have parked correctly before heading to the stadium.
Limited mobility parking areas are available on Cricket Avenue.
Passengers are reminded that alcohol is not permitted for consumption on any public transport service.
