Las Tetas and PCP Eagles supporting Jello Biafra

Las Tetas and PCP Eagles land support slots for: Jello Biafra & The Guantanamo School Of Medicine

Local punk upstarts Las Tetas and PCP Eagles have landed support slots for New Zealand’s first band tour in 30 years by US legend Jello Biafra.

Biafra, the former frontman and chief-agitator for legendary U.S. punks Dead Kennedys, returns to New Zealand in early May for two shows with Jello Biafra & The Guantanamo School Of Medicine, proudly presented by Plus1 and 95bFM.

PCP Eagles will support at Bodega, Wellington, Tuesday May 7 (Tickets from Ticketek and RPM).

The following night, Las Tetas will support at the Powerstation, Auckland, Wednesday May 8 (Tickets from Ticketmaster & Real Groovy)

Auckland all-girl trio Las Tetas have been gigging relentlessly and are set to release their debut album this year which includes new ballad 'The Plains’. 'You're Not Invited' is being released on 7" vinyl later this month.

PCP Eagles’ song 'I Hate The Mall' is currently number 1 on 95bFM Top 10 (been sitting there for a month), and their debut EP is out this week.

They’re a multi-city mash-up, with members originating from Wellington, Dunedin, Nelson, Gisborne, & Auckland.

Jello Biafra & The Guantanamo School Of Medicine features former Rollins Band and Ween bassist Andrew Weiss, drummer Paul Della Pelle (Helios Creed / Nik Turners' Space Ritual) and the twin guitar attack of Ralph Spight (Victims Family) and Kimo Ball.

The band formed in 2009 after Jello was inspired by The Stooges performance at Iggy Pop's 60th birthday and a rare Stateside visit from Australia's Radio Birdman.

NZ fans can look forward to a blistering set stretching from Dead Kennedy’s classics through to material off the acclaimed new album White People and the Damage Done.

Biafra explodes on stage, hands flailing, eyes on stalks, there is a madness in the house and it's utterly compelling. It's the same sort of acid barbed political and social commentary, hilarious, and terrifying at the same time, the dark humour pouring out of the songs in that superb helium voice. - LOUDER THAN WAR
