• Funnymen Gordon Southern and Nick Rado surprise passengers on an inflight comedy show from Christchurch – Auckland.
• NZ International Comedy Festival runs until 19 May 2013.
Customers on a Jetstar flight from Christchurch to Auckland today were treated to a live stand-up comedy show by top comedians, New Zealand’s Nick Rado and the UK’s Gordon Southern..
The Stand-up in the Sky event saw the NZ International Comedy Festival comedians take their comedy routines to the aisles of an aircraft in front of Jetstar customers.

Nick Rado, NZ Comedy Guild’s “Best MC” for 2011 and 2012, said “Performing on the Jetstar flight from Christchurch to Auckland was an absolute blast – the audience were great, they clearly thought Gordon and myself were pretty funny, we didn’t even have anyone walk out.”

Jetstar hosted the comedy show to celebrate the NZ International Comedy Festival, giving customers the chance to experience unique in-flight entertainment by some of the comedy festival’s funniest stand-up comedians.

A consumer promotion saw five lucky More FM listeners from Christchurch and their friends win passes to attend the inflight comedy show from Christchurch to Auckland including return flights, tickets to The Big Show and Dai Henwood in Adapt or Dai at the NZ International Comedy Festival, dinner for two at Sean Connolly’s The Grill and accommodation at Scenic Hotel, Auckland.

Jetstar CEO Australia & New Zealand, David Hall, said, “We’re delighted to partner with the NZ International Comedy Festival and to host an inflight comedy show for our customers. What better time can you have aboard your flight than to be entertained by some of the festival’s funniest comedians.”
