Customers on a Jetstar
flight from Christchurch to Auckland today were treated to a
live stand-up comedy show by top comedians, New Zealand’s
Nick Rado and the UK’s Gordon Southern..
The Stand-up
in the Sky event saw the NZ International Comedy Festival
comedians take their comedy routines to the aisles of an
aircraft in front of Jetstar customers.
Nick Rado, NZ Comedy Guild’s “Best MC” for 2011 and 2012, said “Performing on the Jetstar flight from Christchurch to Auckland was an absolute blast – the audience were great, they clearly thought Gordon and myself were pretty funny, we didn’t even have anyone walk out.”
Jetstar hosted the comedy show to celebrate the NZ International Comedy Festival, giving customers the chance to experience unique in-flight entertainment by some of the comedy festival’s funniest stand-up comedians.
A consumer promotion saw five lucky More FM listeners from Christchurch and their friends win passes to attend the inflight comedy show from Christchurch to Auckland including return flights, tickets to The Big Show and Dai Henwood in Adapt or Dai at the NZ International Comedy Festival, dinner for two at Sean Connolly’s The Grill and accommodation at Scenic Hotel, Auckland.
