ASB extends its Support for the NZ Art Show for a Further 3 years
ASB, a foundation sponsor of the NZ Art Show, has announced that it has extended its support of the NZ Art Show for a further three years.
“ASB have been our cornerstone sponsor since the Show’s inception in 2004,” says Carla Russell, NZ Art Show’s Executive Director. “ASB’s continued commitment and support has enabled the Show to evolve over the past nine years, growing in size, reputation and quality to become the largest curated art exhibition in the country. We are delighted that ASB is continuing its support of the Show.”
This year’s Show, which runs for three days from Friday 26 July in the Event Centre on Wellington’s Queens Wharf, will include a number of new features including artist demonstrations, an Illuminart Gallery (showcasing artworks using light) and ASB & all that Jazz (live Jazz performances from the senior students from Te Koki, NZ School of Music), courtesy of ASB.
“ASB has a strong history of fostering creative innovation in New Zealand,” says Linley Wood, ASB’s Executive General Manager for Culture and Community. “Since 2004, the NZ Art Show has brought together New Zealand’s best and brightest emerging and established artists to acknowledge their unique contribution to New Zealand’s identity and culture.”
“With more than 10,000 people attending the annual three-day Show, we are pleased to be working with the Show as it grows and continues to promote an appreciation of New Zealand art and provide an outlet for New Zealand artists.”
