Call for Submissions- 'Kitsch'

We are now looking for a range of works for an upcoming group exhibition that explores the idea of kitsch which will run for two weeks in August.

Fine art has often been handicapped by an internal elitism that enforces a strict criteria of what art is or can be. Art that wasn’t considered up to the grade was often labelled kitsch for being too sentimental, marketable or having popular appeal. While this notion is constantly being challenged today it is still a tradition that holds a great deal of power. This exhibition will showcase a range of works that brings a bit of kitsch into the gallery. The theme is up for broad interpretation and works across a range of media will be considered.

Call for Submissions- 'Queer Things'
We are currently on the lookout for suitable works for a group exhibition coming up in September taking as a broad theme the notions, ideas and concepts around ‘queer’.

There is a great deal of scope for this exhibition and we welcome any way you want to work within this theme, whether that means creating a work that response to recent parliamentary politics around LBGTI issues, something about your own identity or something else entirely. It is up to you. Works across a range of mediums will be considered.

Call for Submissions- 'Textile Wow'
Call for Submissions Textile WOW We are currently on the look out for suitable works for a group exhibition coming up in October focusing on textiles that will show during the World of Wearable Arts. The exhibition will seek to showcase a range of different kinds of textile art, so if you feel you have something to contribute please get in touch.
