Kiwi Ferns, Students & Armed Forces World Cup Update

The Rugby League Festival of World Cups is in full-stride this week in the UK. Here’s a rundown on how the New Zealand teams are travelling.

Kiwi Ferns (NZ women)
The Kiwi Ferns take on England tomorrow morning. That match in Featherstone, UK, kicks off at 7am NZ-time (8pm July 8, UK-time).

The Ferns are fresh from an 88-0 win over France in their first match, while the England girls went down 6-14 to Australia.

NZ Students
The NZ Students met their Australian counterparts overnight and were beaten 16-34. Here’s a report which the NZ team has sent though: New Zealand remains upbeat despite loss to Australia

The Students play Scotland next, starting at 5am Thursday (NZ-time).

NZ Armed Forces
Our Armed Forces team beat Serbia 62-6 over the weekend. Our team will now meet Great Britain in the semi-finals (6am Thursday, NZ-time). When those two teams met in pool play, the Kiwis went down 8-32.
