God Bows to Math Vs Pairs – Split 7”

Click for big version.

Band releases record, sends out press release to the press to inform them. Obviously a bunch of geniuses

Yes, another press release. Sent out via electronic mail to you, The Media. Coming from a band – who have never appeared on the X-Factor, or had a hit single – trying to convince you to write about them.
Auckland's god bows to math have teamed up with four amazing record labels from each corner of the globe(1) (assuming as science suggests that it is, in fact, square) to release a limited edition 7”. The 7" vinyl record is a circular disc of vinyl with 5:30 of music held within; kind of like a CD but instead of lasers one uses needles to extract its contents (more MacGyver than James Bond). Joining them on said record is Shanghai's best(2) punk band Pairs.

Available for pre-order from today, the 7” will be released in New Zealand on October 21st through MUZAI Records. When that date arrives you can download a digital version for free or purchase a physical copy from all good indie stores(3).

Tour dates will be announced in the near future and will see the band play two New Zealand dates before heading off to China in November.

This is actually only a list of most of the bands god bows to math have ever played with since there are quite a lot of names to remember.

By the end of November god bows to math will have played 134 shows in their five year existence. This equals about 1 show every 14 days. They still have a long way to go to catch My Disco.

At some stage in the last five years all three members of god bows to math have studied, worked and toured simultaneously.

There have been 6 different guitarists and 4 different bass players in the history of god bows to math. Only one drummer though.

There are over 160 cities in China with a population of over one million people. There is one in New Zealand, and this is where god bows to math are from. This makes them seem more cosmopolitan than they probably are.

Pairs have had one of their show posters appear on the hit TV show ‘Neighbours’.
