Royal New Zealand Ballet returning to Queenstown in December

The Royal New Zealand Ballet is returning to Queenstown in December, performing one show as part of the TOWER Tutus on Tour season.

This is the RNZB’s 60th birthday year and Artistic Director Ethan Stiefel says that the touring programme includes some “blasts from the past” as well as new pieces.

A big drawcard for ballet fans of all ages will be a fresh production of Peter and the Wolf, narrated by comedian and television personality Te Radar. The programme also includes excerpts from Flower Festival at Genzano, FrENZy, Through to You by NZ choreographer Andrew Simmons, Little Improvisations and the popular Don Quixote pas de deux.

The performance is in the Queenstown Memorial Centre on Wednesday 4 December at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale at the Queenstown Events Centre, the Queenstown i-Site and on-line through ticketek.co.nz
