Clap Clap Riot Release New Album

CLAP CLAP RIOT

NOBODY / EVERYBODY

Click for big version.

Auckland alt-rock band Clap Clap Riot will release their second album Nobody/Everybody on January 10th 2014, just over one year since their well-lauded debut Counting Spins hit store shelves.

Recorded live at Mt Eden's underground studio The Lab earlier this year, the new release shows a progression into a groovier-landscape than its precursor, sitting comfortably within the hazy stripped back vibe of the sixties. In most parts, due to the colourful production and mixing style of Kody Nielson (Opossom, The Mint Chicks), and contribution of the engineering maestro that is - Olly Harmer.

Listen to first single 'Everybody' here.

The 12-track album follows the band's debut, which was named Rock album of 2012 by music giant iTunes and also received a nod at the 2012 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards in the Best Rock category.

To mark the announcement of Nobody/Everybody, the band will offer differing Vinyl and CD pre-order bundles for a limited time.  Extras include strictly limited 12" arctic-white vinyl (100 available), a five-track b-side EP recorded between Dave Parker's Little Monster studio and various bedrooms across inner city Auckland, an instant download of album track 'Cold As Ice', and a special edition pair of Clap Clap Riot socks - just in time for the festive season.

Visit Clap Clap Riot Bandcamp for more info.

The band will follow the release with a performance at the re-invented 2014 Big Day Out, taking place in Auckland on January 17th 2014, as well as a nationwide tour in March.
