Kiwi Karters in the Thick of It In New Orleans

Kiwi karters Daniel and Mathew Kinsman, Stu Marshall and Marcus Armstrong were in the thick of it on the first day of heat competition at this year's Rotax Max Grand Finals kart meeting in New Orleans.

New Zealand Challenge Lights class winner Mathew Kinsman from Auckland and Junior class champ Marcus Armstrong from Christchurch each claimed a best finish of 14th in their heats, Mathew having qualified 10th in his group, Marcus 23rd in his.

Mathew Kinsman was next best with an 18th place finish in his first heat after qualifying tenth, while Masters class representative Stu Marshall claimed a best heat finish of 20th after starting off P23 on the grid.

Heat racing continues on Friday (local time). In the warm-ups on Friday (local time) Mathew Kinsman was 18th, Marcus Armstrong 14th, Stu Marshall 20th and Daniel Kinsman 28th.
