Auckland Aces will have four Blackcaps available

MEDIA RELEASE
Monday, 3 December 2013
The Auckland Aces will have four of their Blackcaps available when they start their third round Plunket Shield clash with the Central Stags tomorrow.

Martin Guptill, Mitchell McClenaghan, Bruce Martin and Colin Munro will all be available for the Aces as they return to the four day format.

Dean Bartlett, Matt Quinn and Jeet Raval also come back into the line-up to face the Stags.

The Aces will be keen to get a result in this game to get some momentum into their Plunket Shield campaign and Aces pace bowler Michael Bates thinks that the Aces are on the right track to make it happen.

"I think we've been playing good cricket most of the time it's just taking away that one bad session that we've had in the last couple of games, and then we should get the result we're after."

Aces coach Matt Horne knows that his team have some improvement to do but believes that his players are ready to put it into practice.

"We've probably been short of what we need in both first innings with the bat so far but the guys are well aware of that and have been working on it. It's now about getting out there and making it happen."

A team will be named from the following twelve players:

Gareth Hopkins (Captain) (Parnell)
Dean Bartlett (Ellerslie)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Martin Guptill (Suburbs New Lynn)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Bruce Martin (Parnell)
Mitchell McClenaghan (Howick Pakuranga)
Colin Munro (Howick Pakuranga)
Matt Quinn (Cornwall)
Jeet Raval (Suburbs New Lynn)
