Designers $30k Giveaway to Charity Inspires 1000 Nominations on Social Media
As we enter Day 6 of Annah Stretton’s 10 days of Christmas Donations over 1000 nominations have been made by the public for their favourite charities to secure a slice of $30,000.
“We have had tremendous engagement from our fans and so many wonderful initiatives nominated and we know this will simply continue to grow,” says Stretton. “I love the dialogue that this is creating and I love the smaller organisations that are being uncovered and acknowledged for the great work they do - many of which are not eligible for the government pools of money. I have always wanted my company to support a myriad of causes as I truly believe this is what brings that balance and heart to all brands.”
As we race toward the December 25th deadline, completely absorbed in our own annual personal finishing lines and loving the thought of a two week break at the beach, Stretton is calling on everyone to not overlook what is truly important in life and the true essence of Christmas.
“For me, one who receives so many wonderful gifts and acknowledgements at this time of the year, it becomes so very important for me to pass this on,” says Stretton. “So leading into December I have been concentrating on creating a program of gifting through social media that supports and acknowledges all the wonderful work that so many charitable organisations do within our communities.”
Stretton launched 10 days of Christmas Donations on December 14th and the campaign will culminate on Christmas Day.
Each day she is gifting $3000 to a deserving and favoured charity as nominated by Facebook fans. Some popular charities so far include Operation Sugar, Cystic Fibrosis, Kitty Cat Fixes and Chasing a Cure for Type1 Diabetes.
Do you know a charitable organization in your community that deserves a $3000 gift this Christmas?
