Classic Hits Takes Control of Centre Court

Classic Hits Takes Control of Centre Court

28 February 2014

The Radio Network’s Classic Hits can now claim the ‘official radio station’ status of all five New Zealand ANZ Championship netball teams (Northern Mystics, Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Central Pulse, Mainland Tactix and Southern Steel) for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Content Director Jason Winstanley says, “Classic Hits is ‘the’ netball station of New Zealand. We are a sponsor of the ANZ Championship competition and each of the New Zealand teams, the official radio station of the Silver Ferns and also the Fast5 tournament. We are netball crazy and our listeners are huge fans of the game.”

Breakfast host Stacey Morrison is thrilled with Classic Hits’ commitment to the game.

“Netball is a leading sport in New Zealand with so many of our listeners involved as a player, a coach, an official or as a parent on the side of the court each week. Classic Hits will be at every ANZ Championship game so fans can tune in or listen on iHeartRadio to win tickets, VIP experiences and hear player interviews, it’s going to be fantastic.”

General Manager of the ANZ Championship Andrew Crook says it’s great to have the full support of such a significant station like Classic Hits.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have the Classic Hits radio station on board as one of our key supporters. It’s exciting to know Classic Hits is helping bring the ANZ Championship closer to its fans.”

The 2014 ANZ Championship starts this weekend, Saturday 1 March.
