Registration now open for The North Face

Registration is now open for The North Face® Freeski Open of New Zealand, the only event in the world to hold Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Big Mountain competitions in one.

Competitors will once again have the opportunity to experience the world-class facilities of Cardrona Alpine Resort as the venue for the Halfpipe and Slopestyle competitions.

The schedule for The Freeski Open of NZ Park and Pipe events is as follows:

• Wednesday 27 August – Bib collection and rider briefing. 3pm Noodle Bar, Cardrona Alpine

• Thursday 28 August – Slopestyle qualifiers

• Friday 29 August – Slopestyle finals

• Saturday 30 August – Halfpipe qualifiers and finals

• Sunday 31 August – Weather day

Entry fee: $100 per discipline. Entries will be limited to 80 for halfpipe and 100 for slopestyle.

The Big Mountain competition is scheduled for 1 – 8 September and is classified as a 3-star Freeride World Qualifying event. Qualifying will once again be at the aptly named The Remarkables and we're excited to have Treble Cone on board this year providing our Big Mountain Finals venue.

The schedule for The Freeski Open of NZ Big Mountain is as follows:

• Sunday 31 August – Bib collection and rider briefing. Time and venue TBC

• 1 – 7 September – Big Mountain Qualifiers

• 2 – 8 September – Big Mountain Finals

• 3 – 6 September – Weather days
