Tennyson Street Fair this Sunday

Te Aro’s Tennyson Street Fair is back, and set to entertain the public of Wellington this Sunday, 19 October.

Set just a street back from Courtenay Place, Tennyson Street runs between Cambridge Terrace and Tory Street. The street will be closed off to traffic and filled for the third year running with everything from ethnic and artisan food to craft stalls, jewellery and clothing, art, and much more.

A variety of family entertainment options will also be present, including bouncy castles, a petting zoo, merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, mini hot rods, 10D cinema, V8 simulators and virtual reality.

Two stages packed with local and national artists will keep the crowds rocking from the official kick off at 10.30am right through until 4.30pm.

With something for everyone, thousands of people from Wellington and further afield are expected to attend – 2013’s event attracted an estimated 4-5,000 people, and this year attractions and stalls have been expanded further to cater for demand.

The Tennyson Street Fair runs from 10.30am – 4.30pm on Sunday 19 October, with a postponement date of 26 October in case of inclement weather.

Further details for the event can be found online at www.tennysonstreetfair.co.nz.
