Teddy goes to Antarctica for a great local cause
The trip of a lifetime for the favourite toy of one lucky Christchurch child is up for grabs at the Marshlands School Twilight Carnival auction, which will be held on Friday 7 November.
“Antarctica New Zealand is proud to support the kids in our local community to achieve the best they can during their schooling years,” says Jeanine Begg, Antarctica New Zealand, General Manager, Marketing and Communications.
“We knew we wanted to offer Marshlands School something unique, that you can’t ordinarily buy, and that every kid would love to have. I am excited Teddy will be accompanied by me to Antarctica as its guardian and photo shoot manager.
“We’re committed to working with kids of all ages to learn about the frozen continent, and its importance to the future of our planet – if this helps us to raise an awareness and interest in Antarctica, while supporting local kids to have access to iPads, then that’s got to be a good thing.”
The Marshlands School Twilight Carnival is open to the public and includes a range of activities from 5:00 - 8:00pm, 329 Prestons Road, Marshland, 8051.
Teddy goes to Antarctica is a silent auction and all bids must be tabled by 7.30pm.
