Lion is proud to announce that two of its beers were given top accolades at the inaugural New World Beer & Cider Awards. Steinlager Classic was named Best in Class in the New Zealand Lager category, while Mac’s Great White was named Best in Class in the Wheat Beer category.

Steinlager Pure and Mac’s Sassy Red each picked up Gold medals in their respective categories. Speight’s, Mac’s and Isaac’s were also awarded three Silvers and three Bronze medals between them.

Kurt Gross, Lion Beer Ambassador says: “With over 350 beers and ciders from 56 different breweries entered into the competition it is a huge achievement to be recognised with such esteemed competition, and to have four of our beers picking up top awards is just brilliant. It’s a real credit to our brewers and definitely worthy of a cold one to celebrate.”
