Vintage VIP Programme offers great rewards
VIPs could reap rewards at Vintage Weekend

The Whanganui Vintage Weekend Trust has been working behind the scenes since February to create another vintage extravaganza next Wellington Anniversary Weekend that promises to be bigger and better than any before. Not only will Vintage Weekend 2015 see the return of the highly successful mainstay events such as The Rivercity Caboodle and The Soapbox Derby but there are also some new events in the programme to entertain retro boffins, amblers and gastronomists. To ensure that people take advantage of all the weekend has to offer organisers have introduced a brand new VIP Programme that will offer discounts, special access and prizes to purchasers to help them make the most of their Whanganui vintage experience.

VIP’s can purchase a lanyard to receive discounts on the Waimarie with free Devonshire tea on board, the number 12 tram and discounted entry to a new event the official Rivercity Caboodle After party at the Riverside Bar. They will also have exclusive access to free rides in any classic car during the Classic Cluster Cruise on Saturday night.

Prizes for lanyard holders are still being donated and include a weekend’s stay for two at the Flying Fox on the Whanganui River, a family concession sailing on the Waimarie, a full set of Wanganui Memories coffee table books, Soapbox Derby T-Shirts and more. The total discount value is approximately $30 plus there is the array of great prizes to be won.

Lanyards can be purchased from the Wanganui i-SITE for just $15. Discounts are only redeemable during the Whanganui Vintage Weekend, 17-19 January 2015. “The lanyards would make a great gift for any family or friends visiting from out of town that weekend,” adds Mainstreet Marketing Manager and Vintage Weekend Trustee Elise Goodge, “hopefully it will encourage them to take advantage of everything our wonderful vintage town has to offer.”
