Popular Pixie Town Opening Soon

Popular Pixie Town Opening Soon

Dunedin, 21 November 2014 – Christmas arrives at Toitū Otago Settlers Museum when Pixie Town opens on Saturday, 6 December.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the historic exhibition, visit Santa and have their photo taken, make Christmas crafts, dress up like a pixie or relax with a Christmas book.

The Toitū OSM team are working hard to prepare the exhibit for another busy season.

Visitor Experience Manager Kirsty Glengarry says, "It’s a highlight of the Museum year to exhibit Pixie Town and it’s such a Dunedin icon. I have heard lots of people fondly recalling their experience of Pixie Town as children and I know they all bring their own children back to visit the pixies."

Pixie-themed items will be available in the Toitū shop and traditional toys are on sale. There will also be a Family Christmas Chill-Out Zone with Christmas crafts, toys, dress ups and more.
