Tim Beveridge Launches Christmas CD for Hospice New Zealand

‘Tis the season for giving and Farmers department store and renowned Kiwi singer Tim Beveridge are combining for a charitable cause to benefit hospices throughout New Zealand.

For every sale of Beveridge’s new CD Christmas Is, Farmers is donating two thirds of the CD price to local hospices around the country.

The CDs are available for purchase for $15 at Farmers stores or through hospices nationwide with $10 from each sale going to the local community hospice. The CD is also available to download from iTunes.

Farmers CEO Rod McDermott says the company is proud to be supporting hospices throughout New Zealand in collaboration with Mr Beveridge and his fellow musicians.

“Tim’s a distinguished Kiwi artist and in Christmas Is has produced a beautifully recorded album of 11 songs backed by some of New Zealand’s finest musicians. It’s a great opportunity to give the gift that gives again,” says Mr McDermott

The CD features a duet with Frankie Stevens, and has been produced by Bruce Lynch who is well-known internationally for his work.

We are pleased to be supporting hospice by providing a nationwide platform for sales of the recording in all Famers stores,” Mr McDermott says.

Mr Beveridge has a personal connection with hospice through his mother and close personal friend the late Phillip Leishman who passed away in early 2013.

“I have dealt with hospices personally via family and friends and I have only the highest praise for the quality service and care they provide. I am thrilled to show my support for their work at this special time of year,” says Mr Beveridge.

Songs on the album are some of Tim’s favourite festive tunes and include classics such as White Christmas, What a Wonderful World, When You Wish Upon a Star, When a Child is Born and the title track, Christmas Is.

Kiwis can also support hospice at Mr Beveridge’s concert Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas on Tuesday December 16. Mr Beveridge is joined by special guests Dame Malvina Major and Simon O'Neill and proceeds from the event go to the charity. Tickets available from iTicket.co.nz.
