Christmas in the Park- getting there is half the fun
Travel hassle free on public transport for a night under the stars at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park.
This annual family favourite is in the Doman on Saturday 13 December starting at 7.30pm. The rain date for this event is Sunday 14 December. Please listen to 91.8 MORE FM for any updates.
Please note there is a complete liquor ban in place for all public transport services as well as at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, so leave all alcohol at home.
Travel by
bus
Catching a bus is a convenient transport
option with all scheduled services running to normal
timetables. Pre-plan your journey and travel early, normal
fares/passes apply.

Inner LINK: You can catch the green Inner LINK bus service which operates from in front of Britomart Transport Centre to Parnell, through Newmarket, along Karangahape Rd, Ponsonby Rd, past Victoria Park and back to Britomart via SkyCity. On Saturdays these services operate approximately every 15 minutes from 6.30am to 11.00pm.
The Inner LINK service will vary from the regular route and travel via Symonds St and Khyber Pass Rd instead of Grafton Rd and Park Rd. The closest stops to Auckland Domain will be on Karangahape Rd near Grafton Bridge or Khyber Pass near Park Rd.
In addition to scheduled services, there are special event bus services running to/from Auckland Domain. Event fares apply.
Northern Busway: Special buses depart from Albany Station (Platform 2B) approximately every 10 minutes between 4.30pm and 7pm, stopping at all Northern Busway stations to Auckland Domain. These services are operated by Ritchies Transport. After the concert the special event bus service will depart from Auckland Domain and return to Albany station, stopping at all Northern Busway stations en route.
Bus services from the east: Howick and Eastern Buses will operate services and pick up from Howick, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga Plaza, Mission Heights and the Botany Town Centre. These services are operated by Howick and Eastern.
Around the Domain there will be changes to some stops.
Travel by
train
Travel by train is a good way to get to
the Domain, extra trains will go to the Newmarket and/or
Grafton stations. Services on the Southern and Eastern lines
depart approximately every 30 minutes from 5pm. Services on
the Western line leave approximately every 15 minutes from
5pm.
Pre-plan your journey and travel early. Normal train

Travel by ferry
Normal
ferry services will operate from the downtown ferry
terminal. There are no shuttle buses from Britomart to the
Domain so transfer to a scheduled bus or train
service.
Travel by car
Park Rd,
Carlton Gore Rd and Domain Drive, as well as other roads
around Auckland Domain and within it will be closed from 4pm
to general traffic. Public parking is available outside this
area and will be limited. Roads will be busy so plan ahead
and travel early.
There will be a limited amount of mobility parking available on Carlton Gore Road, a valid permit must be displayed.
Cycling or
Walking
The Domain is an easy walk from many
areas of central Auckland including the Newmarket and
Grafton stations and there are also areas for cycle
parking.
