Promising an entertaining and relaxing afternoon of music, food and wine, Hospice West Auckland will present their annual fundraising concert Jazz in the Vines in Oratia next month. The event features performances by top New Zealand musicians The Nairobi Trio and Leza Corban & Friends.
CEO of Hospice West Auckland, Barbara Williams said, “We are absolutely delighted and honored that we have secured such wonderful entertainers for Jazz in the Vines. We know the audience is in for a very special afternoon, and money raised will help to ensure we can continue to provide free Hospice care to the people of West Auckland.”
The Nairobi Trio is wellknown to audiences around the globe through their regular schedule of international touring, having just celebrated 25 years together with a series of concerts around the world. Nine albums of original work and countless performances and festivals throughout the country have ensured they are a popular household name in New Zealand.
Singer Leza Corban will perform with her live band. Leza has had a prolific career as a studio session artist, singing on countless jingles and tracks by New Zealand artists. Leza has gone on to feature at Christmas in the Park and Starlight Symphonies. She currently performs in the band UNION, DJs, and is in much demand as a jazz singer. Leza is a proud supporter of Hospice, and has a huge fan base in West Auckland.
For the past four years, Jazz in the Vines has been held at the Davis Vineyard in Henderson. The event’s popularity has prompted the move to a larger venue for 2015, and Davis Funerals remain key sponsors of the event.
