Opportunity to take part in the 2015 Edinburgh Festival

Opportunity to take part in the 2015 Edinburgh Festivals' Momentum delegate programme

Creative New Zealand and the British Council are calling for expressions of interest from New Zealand arts practitioners to participate in the Edinburgh festivals’ international delegate programme Momentum.

Momentum takes place in Edinburgh each August and is delivered through a partnership between British Council Scotland, Festivals Edinburgh and Creative Scotland. The programme provides a dynamic platform for key cultural players to engage and build relationships with organisations and individuals in Edinburgh, the World’s leading festival city.

Selected delegates will be able to take advantage of a range of activities, such as bespoke itinerary planning and the opportunity to meet with key individuals and arts organisations, including the directors of Edinburgh’s 12 major festivals.

The programme is an opportunity for New Zealanders to build relationships with artists, producers, curators and cultural partners from Scotland, the United Kingdom, and internationally.

Creative New Zealand and British Council New Zealand will support six New Zealanders to take part in Momentum this year. Creative New Zealand is calling for expressions of interest from New Zealand producers, curators, directors or artists with tour-ready work, or strategic partners who are interested in pursuing collaborative or exchange projects.

The selected six delegates will receive $3,200 towards travel plus six nights’ paid accommodation in Edinburgh, as well as full access to the Momentum programme.

This is the third year Creative New Zealand and the British Council have supported New Zealand arts practitioners to take part in this programme.

Expressions of Interest need to reach Creative New Zealand by 5pm, Tuesday 5 May 2015.

Visit the Creative New Zealand website for more information and how to apply.
