The X Factor NZ And Mcdonald’s Collaborate to Record Charity Single

The X Factor NZ Top 12 contestants and McDonald’s have collaborated to record and release a charity single with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities NZ to help families of seriously ill or injured children.

Originally performed by Rachel Platten, ‘Fight Song’ sees The X Factor NZ Top 12 team up in the studio for the first time to record an emotionally charged and inspirational song.

‘Fight Song’ is available today on pre-order via iTunes and will be released Monday 13th of April.

Director of Marketing at McDonald’s Chris Brown is thrilled that The Factor NZ team are helping to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities;

"The song is an inspiration for the kids, their families and all those involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities. The X Factor NZ Top 12 has done a fantastic job and we hope the New Zealand public gets behind Fight Song. The money raised will be used to help Ronald McDonald House Charities meet the demand for their services, primarily helping seriously ill Kiwi children and their families stay close together."

Co-executive producer of The X Factor NZ John McDonald says he is incredibly proud of The X Factor NZ Top 12;

“It’s been great to work with The X Factor Top 12 in seeing them realise that with their new found profiles they can create awareness and help needy causes. This is a really important part of The X Factor NZ journey, so when the opportunity came up to work with Ronald McDonald House Charities NZ and the families that benefit from this support, it was a no-brainer. Now it’s up to New Zealand to give back, download ‘Fight Song’ from iTunes, and in-turn play their part.”
