Fashion for a Cure

Exclusive Preview of Designer’s New Season

To help take a stand against breast cancer, Breast Cancer Cure (BCC) is hosting an exclusive fashion event together with some of New Zealand’s leading designers, to assist with their goal to find a cure.

Proudly supported by ASB, on Wednesday 20 May 2015, Fashion For A Cure will showcase the latest Winter Collections from: Trelise Cooper, Helen Cherry, Storm, Moochi, Taylor and Andrea Moore. Special guest Sarah Spicer, from X Factor, will perform.

Each will present a range of beautiful pieces from their winter collections, and later on in the evening, BCC Ambassador, Petra Bagust and Shane Cortese, will auction off a variety of donated items including pieces from the designers. The evening will take place in collaboration with The Newmarket Business Association.

Phillipa Green at BCC, says: “It’s fantastic to see our designers new seasons pieces welcomed in a way that provides hope and support towards the future fight against breast cancer.”

“Our work continues to grow in importance, especially as breast cancer in New Zealand grows at epidemic proportions. Five years ago 1 in 10 women would be diagnosed, now the rate is 1 in 9.”

“With one of the highest incidence rates in the Western world, there is an urgent need to find a breast cancer cure and stop it in its tracks.”

Tickets for Fashion For A Cure can be purchased for $75 including champagne, canapés and a goody bag to take home from the Breast Cancer Cure’s website: www.breastcancercure.org.nz.
