Emirates Team NZ extends partnership with North Sails

Emirates Team New Zealand extends partnership with North Sails Apparel for 35th America’s Cup.

Emirates Team New Zealand and North Sails Apparel are extremely delighted to announce that they have extended their partnership for the 35th Americas Cup to be held in Bermuda in 2017.

North Sails and Emirates Team New Zealand share a history of success, driven by a strong passion for sailing, technology and innovation.

Since its origin in 1957, North Sails has been by far the most innovative brand in sailmaking. Sailors and sailmakers have been able to develop unbeatable products.
Thanks to an additional strong aesthetic value, the new North Sails Apparel lines reflect these passions and skills

Eric Bijlsma, CEO of North Sails Apparel has declared: “With the extended partnership between Emirates Team New Zealand and North Sails, we will be able to take innovation to a whole new level. While sharing similar brand values of performance, technology and innovation, we leave nothing to chance in developing the perfect gear for Emirates Team New Zealand that, in my opinion, has ever been the best looking team in the cup

Emirates Team New Zealand CEO Grant Dalton said: “We are proud to be wearing such an iconic brand in sailing as North Sails and to have incorporated the famous New Zealand Southern Cross into our uniform for this America’s Cup.”
“The team wears its apparel with pride and are looking forward to showing it off with a strong performance at the first Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event in Portsmouth this week.”
