THURSDAY AUGUST 6, 2015 – It’s less than three months since SIX60 announced that they’d signed a record deal with iconic label Capitol Records, and now only a matter of weeks until the band heads to Los Angeles to start rolling out their new album in the US and then to the world.

While the USA is expected to be the band’s base for the foreseeable future, SIX60 will be home this summer to take their unforgettable live show outdoors at Auckland’s Villa Maria Winery on Saturday, January 16.

The festival-style event will feature SIX60’s unforgettable live show featuring fresh music from the new album and the beloved anthems from the band’s debut, and support from a line-up of guests, to be announced at a later date.

The first half of 2015 has been all about New Zealand for the band, and hugely successful. The much anticipated second album was released in February and has been certified platinum. After 22 weeks it retains the #5 spot in the NZ album charts and a fourth single, Purple, is climbing the charts.

The band backed up the album release with with a nationwide tour in May and June. The 14 sold-out concerts stretched from Whangarei to Invercargill and sold over 30,000 tickets, a huge achievement for any band, let alone a local one.

Many Auckland fans made their disappointment clear when they missed out on the sold-out concert at Vector Arena concert in May, and this is a second chance for them to experience SIX60’s new music live for the first time. The concert is also a not-to-be missed opportunity for those who can’t get enough of one of New Zealand’s favourite bands. With SIX60’s reputation for sell-out shows, fans should be quick to get their tickets.
