Public transport is the answer for Saturday’s rugby test

The All Blacks are taking on the Wallabies again on Saturday night, 15 August. This time it’s at Eden Park with a 7.35pm kick-off.

As usual for All Blacks matches you can catch public transport to the ground, travel is included with your game ticket for trains and special event buses.

Bus
Special event bus services operate to Eden Park from Auckland City Centre, Northern Busway stations, Manukau, Botany, Pakuranga, Takapuna, Newmarket and Mt Eden.

Our website has the full details but services operate from the City from 5pm until 7pm and from other places from 4.30pm. The last special event bus to the venue is at 6.30pmfrom Northern Busway stations, Manukau, Botany, Pakuranga and Takapuna and at 7.15pm from Newmarket/Mt Eden. The special event buses will take you back after the match but you will need to keep your game ticket for the ride home.

Train
If you’re heading to Eden Park by train, travel is included with your ticket from three hours before the start of the game. All services after the match are included with your game ticket.

Western Line
Additional trains will operate on the Western Line, if you are coming from the west, event trains will terminate at Morningside station, it’s a short walk to Eden Park. After the game, westbound services will also leave from Morningside.

A mobility shuttle will operate before and after the match for patrons who can’t walk between Morningside station and the stadium.

City Centre
The additional trains for the game will depart Britomart stopping only at Grafton station en route. After the game, Kingsland is the station for passengers heading back towards the city (transfer at Britomart for trains going south or east). Trains depart from Kingsland stopping only at Grafton station.

Southern and Eastern Line (including Onehunga)
Additional trains will operate on the Southern and Eastern Lines to Britomart where you can transfer onto Western Line services to Kingsland Station.

Passengers are reminded that alcohol and drugs are not permitted for consumption on any of our bus or train services.

Ferry

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is next to the Britomart Transport Centre in Downtown Auckland. This means ferry passengers can easily change to a train for transport to Eden Park.

Normal fares/passes apply for ferry services.

Cycling and Walking

There is some bike parking at Eden Park and the ground is an easy walk from many of Auckland’s inner suburbs, it’s a comfortable 50 minute walk from Auckland’s city centre.

Driving and Parking

For ticket holders taking their own vehicle to the game travel early and expect delays and remember there will be road closures around the stadium.

There is limited mobility parking available at the stadium on Cricket Ave.
